We here at the Munro School of Irish Dancing are excited to announce our upcoming event, Féis Mackay, to be held on Saturday 25 March 2023 at the CQCM Theatre, CQ University, Ooralea Mackay.

Féis (pronounced F-E-S-H) Mackay, is a new Irish dance competition in Queensland which aims to provide the local Irish dancers of the Mackay and Whitsunday region an additional performance opportunity this dance year. 

​

Such performance opportunities help dancers advance their dance skills by building a strong background in stage experience, to learn and be inspired by others, and to assist them in achieving their dreams of becoming the next Michael Flatley (Lord of the Dance) or Jean Butler (Riverdance).

In hosting this new event, we seek to help our young aspiring Irish Dancers in furthering their careers without having to travel outside of the Mackay and Whitsunday region to similar events.  To do so, the costs involved with staging this event are quite considerable and we rely heavily on the support of our local dance families and local businesses.

We would greatly appreciate your sponsorship, and it will be used towards the cost of purchasing fantastic prizes for our competitors.  For local business who do sponsor one of our events, we provide free advertisement of your business in the printed and digital competition program, and acknowledgement of your business verbally throughout the duration of the event.
